The 369th Infantry Regiment, formerly known as the 15th New York National Guard Regiment nicknamed the Harlem Hellfighters were an African-American infantry unit in World War 1. The Harlem Hellfighters spent more time in combat than any other American unit, nearly 191 days on the front line trenches. They would return home one of the most decorated American units during World War 1.
